Introduction
Modern business practice is liable
to generate large quantities of both paper and
electronic (computer media) documents which will eventually
require safe and secure disposal with BS8470
representing the 'gold standard' in such
disposal. The new Waste Electrical &
Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation requires the
safe disposal of used Information and Communications Technology
(ICT) equipment, including
computer media which often holds large quantities of
sensitive or proprietary information, thus secure
disposal services requirements are likely to grow as
this legislation, as well as increasing volumes of
information
Conduct
Hereford InfoSec is able to
undertake secure destruction of both paper and
electronic media, to BS8470, using national security
level equipment and procedures, undertaken by HMG
vetted personnel.
