Introduction
Computer
Network Defence (CND) involves the deployment of
preventative, detective and containment measures to mitigate
the risks of hackers, and other undesirables, from
compromising voice and data networks. Such defences
involve a combination of hardware and software measures, combined
with active monitoring and constant vigilance; technologies
such as Firewalls, Intruder Detection Systems (IDS),
Intruder Prevention Systems (IPS) and cryptography fall
within the category of CND.
Conduct
Hereford InfoSec is able to aid in
the design, commissioning and maintenance of CND thus aiding clients to mitigate the real
threats posed by hackers. Hereford InfoSec's
personnel's involvement with HMG security enables them
to operate at the highest threat levels, supported by
appropriate levels of HMG security vetting.
